While chamfer bits are mostly used for edging, these bits can also be used to create miter joints of various angles. Some of the available angle degrees are 11.2°, 1°, 22.°, 3° & 4°. Cutting these angles into 2 adjoining pieces of wood will create miter joints of 22.°, 3°, 4°, 6° & 9° degrees respectively.

Make 3° chamfer and bevel cuts with this chamfer Router bit. This bit will also create a 6° angle miter joint. Can be used with stock up to 1" thick. Two flute carbide cutters and 1/2" shank.

Really happy with this classic edge molding bit.

Does the job. If you do a lot of woodworking you might consider the 1/2" shaft. Always get bits with carbide inserts.

Thus far, with only using on hard maple, they didn't burn, nor splinter out, as the carbide is a good quality!
I typically use freud only, but thought for the smaller project I needed just one of the bits to mill what I didn't have in my bit drawer already, for the price of the set, vs one bit from freud! No brainer! Unless after some fair amount of use proves otherwise, which after putting nearly 200 linear feet through on the 1/2" bit with no issues, so far so good!
