A great way to make joints of variable angles from the same tool setup. This type of joint is called a canoe joint because of the flexibility needed for a variety of angles when constructing a canoe. Every slat on a canoe joins its neighboring slat at a slightly different angle, and this router bits set allows this without a different setup for each joint. Always cut the male side of the joint at full depth. The cutting depth of the female side will determine how much angle is achievable in the joint.

This set of canoe joint router bits will cut 3/8" bead - male and female joint components with a 3/16" cutting depth. 1/2" shanks.

This item was needed for a once needed tool and fulfilled that require. But shows no wear after a couple hundred inched of routing in red oak

Great alternative for infrequent biscuit construction. Just installed 100 for edge joining boards without a hassle. Some limitations for use in applications limited by router base positioning.

No fault on this product but it definitely cuts a groove that is larger (thicker) then the factory groove on Trex enhanced basics decking. I would not recommend for use with Trex if you have some factory grooves and you are trying to match up to. On my next project I’ll be purchasing the expensive Trex bit. I am happy with the bit, just not what I was hoping for in terms of groove size.

I bought these based on previous positive reviews and they were just the correct number and size router bits. Unfortunately after only 10 minutes using the" straight bit 1/8 on some soft wood " car subwoofer" cabinet, it snapped. Used another similar one and it worked fine. Maybe just a bad bit but a bit disappointed since the 1/8 is one I planned to use most. This the 4 star rating.
