I used this to shape the top of a mantel clock I am making. I took only small cuts on each pass and raised the bit about 1/8 inch after each pass. It did a good job of shaping the top but left some burn marks on the walnut even though I tried to be careful. (It is the larger of the two shaped top pieces in the photo.) Walnut is easy to burn so it might not be the bit’s fault. For the price it is a good buy.
