The bit is all you ca ask for; does a great job!

However, I just about sliced my hand upen trying to get the bit out of the box. The box would make for great storage, but you might need a pair of channel locks and a vice to get the bit out

I needed to cut a slot in an existing door jamb to retrofit weatherstripping on an exterior door. I figured that the best and safest way to do this was by using my router, but I needed a bit that could cut a 1/8" slot 1/2" deep using the jamb as a guide. It turns out that a bit with those parameters is really hard to find!

The bit has three carbide tipped cutting edges for really smooth cuts. It took me far longer to set up my router with a custom base to ensure it remained level than it did to actually route the grooves in the jamb. This thing cuts fast!

Once it was finished there was practically no sign of wear and tear on the bit other than fine wood dust.

I'm really happy with how it performed and wouldn't hesitate to try this brand of bits again. My only regret is that I didn't have a smaller finish router to get closer into the corners, but that's not the fault of the bit. It performed its task flawlessly.

these bits ivolve trial-and -error to get pieces synched but that's expected

It works, but feels just a little oversized. I thought they would be more snug. On the other hand, I have not used a real joiner, so I don't know what that feels like. In the end it worked beautifully for what I wanted to do.
