Flush trim template router bits work in your router table or handheld router. Secure your template to the top face of the work for handheld operations, or to the bottom face of the work when using a router table. It's helpful to have at least a couple of flush trim bits in different sizes in your router bit collection. 1/4" and 1/2" diameters make a good combination.

The flush trim Router bit is great for combined plunge-cutting and pattern and template routing. For increased work piece visibility, use the shank bearing flush trim router bit in a handheld router allowing the template to be positioned on top of the work piece. In a router table, template will be positioned underneath the work piece. The flush trim router bit can be used without the bearing as a standard straight bit. Two flute carbide cutters with enclosed ball bearing. 1/2" shank.

I really like this bit. It stays sharp and being a spiral, clears the chips well.

Careful opening the box and grabbing it out, as you can maybe see in other reviews people have bled themselves. Maybe the sharpest thing you'll ever handle, and that actually scares me. Even using this thing properly with safety gear and a tough apron do not take this specific one lightly. You're handling what, 6 ounces of carbide and steel at 24k rpm, ALWAYS WEAR PPE. this is supposed to be a review. Don't care, you think you're tough? Wood shards moving at 100 mph at a minimum are tougher, also protect your lungs people. oshaa (safety people for those who don't know). Have rightly classified sawdust as a danger to lungs and the respiratory system. Anyways, amazing but. Don't go cheap, because you'll be rebuying those bits if you don't lose a finger to them because they can't handle what this can. I don't know of a brand that is better than This for router bits.
